Thulile Zama

Thulile Zama Holds a BA (Music) and recently completed her honours in Culture, Communication and Media at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She  is the lead vocalist of successful all female contemporary jazz band Heels Over Head (best contemporary jazz nominees SAMA - 2011), (Yamaha young Artist winners 2010).  She also has done a series of Tributes to Mama Africa and Sophiatown since 2017 around the country with her quartet. 

This versatile vocalist enjoys a wide repertoire. She is well known in the jazz circuit and a well-loved vocalist in Durban.  She has also performed Hamburg, and Berlin in Germany and New Orleans, USA.
Thulile has done performances for Bona Magazine, Weekend Live (SABC 2), SAB, Top Billing (SABC 3), HIVAN, Camel, Glenfiddich and numerous events companies and institutions.

Thulile is also a Voice Over artists and has MC'd for various functions in Durban and Johannesburg. Thulile Zama was a nominee (Arts, Culture and Heritage) in the 2013 Feather awards.
