Natali Frenz
Natali Frenz is currently composing for Sein Media, and holds a scholarship from the National Arts Council of South Africa to complete her Masters in Composition at Stellenbosch University. Her work has been performed by local and international artists to critical acclaim; these include performances by a number of Cape Town-based ensembles as well as the University of Stellenbosch Woordfees, Purpur, and the Stockholm Saxophone Quartet. Her previous creative output is characterised by a divergent approach to style, with some works leaning towards serial influences and others exploring narrative expression in a filmic setting. In 2018, her interest in intermedia culminated in a performance involving live and electronic instruments, digital manipulation, and visual art as a form of protest performance in support of A21 (an organisation that combats human trafficking). Her latest endeavours include works for childrens' choir, for classical guitar, and for windband.
